About us
Collette's On Mallette sits quietly on a tree-lined stretch of Mallette Road, just outside the heart of Red River. We're not a resort with a lobby full of strangers — we're a small, thoughtfully kept lodging where the beds are comfortable, the coffee is always hot, and the view out your window is a wall of green.
Whether you're here for the ski season, a summer hike, or simply a weekend where the only thing on your schedule is doing nothing — this is the place to be.

Your stay
Simple, well-kept rooms designed for real rest — not for impressing anyone.
A cozy room with a queen bed, soft lighting, and a window looking out toward the trees. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple.
Plenty of space for two — two comfortable beds, a work desk, and all the same thoughtful details that make the stay feel easy.
Room to spread out — ideal for a small family or a group of friends who want the same quiet comfort without splitting up.
Around Red River
Red River is small, honest, and packed with reasons to slow down.
One of northern New Mexico's favorite ski areas, just a short drive from our door. Seasonal, family-friendly, and never crowded.
The Santa Fe National Forest is right outside your window — hundreds of miles of trails for every level, from gentle walks to serious climbs.
A historic mining town with a real community — local shops, a few great places to eat, and a pace that actually lets you breathe.
For the serious backcountry traveler — the Pecos Wilderness is close by, with alpine lakes, high passes, and zero cell service.
High desert, no light pollution, and skies that go on forever. Bring a blanket and a telescope — or just lie back and look up.
Both historic towns are within an hour's drive — galleries, restaurants, museums, and centuries of culture waiting for you.

— A guest from Dallas
"We came for the skiing and stayed for the peace. Collette's is the kind of place that doesn't try to be anything other than what it is — and that's exactly why it works so well."
— A guest from Denver
"Brought my parents up for their anniversary and they loved it. Simple, quiet, and the kind of hospitality you don't find everywhere anymore. Thank you for making it special."
